'Crust & Flame Pizzeria began with a simple dream: to bring true Neapolitan pizza to New York. Established by the Bennett family in 1986, our pizzeria started as a small, family-run spot with recipes passed down through generations.
Oliver Bennett, our founder, learned the craft of pizza-making during her journeys across Italy, studying with master pizzaiolos in Naples—the birthplace of pizza. After returning to the UK, she aimed to recreate the magic of authentic Italian pizza, using traditional methods and top-quality ingredients.
What began as a modest 12-seat pizzeria has grown into a beloved local institution, but our dedication to quality and authenticity has never wavered. We still use the same wood-fired oven techniques, prepare our dough daily, and source the finest ingredients available.
Today, 'Crust & Flame Pizzeria' remains family-owned and operated, with the second generation of the Bennett family now leading our devoted team. While we’ve adopted some modern innovations, the core of our business stays the same: crafting delicious, authentic pizza that brings people together.
